I CANTALKS

The function of education is for every learner to find their purpose, identify their passion, and to be able to action it for the benefit of self and others. I CAN Talks are a celebration of every graduating student’s passionate belief in themselves - their ideas, their voice, and their actions - to change attitudes, lives, and the world.

Towards this goal, every grade 11 learner of Riverside embarks on a two year journey to find what they are passionate about, and uncover what skills and attitudes are needed to be noteworthy participants of their choice of profession, vocation, or line of work. After an immersive two year journey of introspection and reflection, learners showcase their deepened understanding of themselves, and their interests and passions - I CAN talks become opportunities for them to share their insights. I CAN Talks is a place for learners to showcase the two year journey of cultivating a belief system about themselves as agents of change for a better world.
