2001- Present    Founder Director, The Riverside School, Ahmedabad

1. Built a primary school & curriculum from ground up which now has 317 students up to Grade 10. Curriculum adopted by franchisee schools with students totaling 4,500 students (and growing). 

2. Provided consulting services to premiere secondary (keystage 3) schools across India for language development in their schools.

1998 – 2000    Principal, Eklavya Junior School, Ahmedabad

 As a founding member, established curriculum, team, systems, and values for this new school
 

1989 – 2000  Proprietor, Kiran Sethi Associates (Design Firm), Ahmedabad

Provided freelance graphics and interior design services to corporates and businesses
Conceptualized themes and designed the two most successful restaurants in Ahmedabad, India

Citation for the Best School Design Award by Designshare.org (Michigan, USA).
Awarded the “Best Restaurant and Graphics Design Award” instituted by the Indian Association of Restaurants, New Delhi.
Kiran Sethi was one of the honored delegates at Symposium held by Rockefeller Foundation, at Bellagio Centre, in Italy.
A key note speaker at the MI World Symposium in Beijing, along with Dr Howard Gardner
  • In July 2010, she was a Speaker and Panelist at a Conference titled “Where do we go from here: Achieving Global Peace with Justice in a Sustainable Environment?” at The Martin Luther King Jr. Research & Education Institute, at Stanford University.

Extracurricular and other interests

Columnist for the Times of India (India’s largest circulating English broadsheet) and Indian Express (wrote on education, children, design and learning).
 
Television actor (on National Television), lead singer for Purple Flower (Gujarat’s longest running rock band), etc
 
Conducted creative thinking courses for AIESEC (Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales).
